Pitch Update

There's not as much standing water on the surface as there was yesterday, but the whole pitch is looking very soggy. With the Tonbridge game rearranged for next Tuesday we'd better hope for dry weather from Saturday onwards. Pictures once again courtesy of Mark Baker.

A sticky situation

Another game called off. That's three home games that have failed to pass a pitch inspection in little over two months.

Still, on the positive side it meant that an extra game could be taken in. Dover v Maidstone it was, and the Stones ran out 4-2 winners at Craphole. The Maidstone support was pretty impressive for all of twenty minutes, then suddenly all went quiet. Why? No idea, but they're not as good as our choir that's for sure. The highlight of the day was the Crabble burger. Dining with the Parmenters might not seem like your cup of tea but the burger is well worth the sacrifice.
